What to Expect During Your Stay

Comfort, Support, and a Smooth Transition Home

Your environment matters during recovery. Our Valley Rehabilitation Center offers amenities designed to make your stay both healing and comfortable.

These amenities include:

  • Physical Therapy Gym

  • Occupational Therapy Kitchen to practice real-life home tasks

  • Private Speech Therapy Room for focused, one-on-one communication and swallowing therapy

  • Outdoor Patio for fresh air, family visits, and therapeutic activities

  • Patient Dining Area with nutrition tailored to your needs

  • Activity Room for recreation and social engagement

  • Pet therapy visits

  • Spiritual care

  • Comfortable patient rooms with WiFi, television, telephone, and meal delivery

Patients at our Center receive intensive, individualized rehabilitation designed to help regain strength, independence, and confidence after illness, injury, surgery, or stroke.

Our team works closely with each patient and their family to create a rehabilitation plan focused on achieving the highest possible level of function and preparing for a safe return home or to the next level of care.

Here’s what to expect during your rehabilitation stay:

  • At least 3 hours of therapy per day, a minimum of 5 days per week
  • Specialized rehabilitation team including a Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation physician (PM&R), physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, rehabilitation nurses, and case manager/social worker
  • Weekly team conference meetings where our rehabilitation team regularly evaluates progress, and works with patients and families to plan for a safe discharge
  • Family/caregiver training to help prepare patients and family/caregivers for a safe and successful transition home

What to Bring to Our Center

To help make your stay as comfortable as possible, we recommend bringing:

  • Comfortable, loose-fitting clothing suitable for therapy

  • Athletic or supportive shoes with non-slip soles

  • Hearing aids

  • Glasses

  • Dentures

  • Personal toiletries (optional)

What to Leave at Home

For safety and security, please do not bring:

  • Jewelry
  • Large amounts of cash
  • Valuables
  • Personal electronics that are not necessary during your stay
