Valley Presbyterian Hospital is here for Life-Threatening Emergencies

When a health emergency happens, you can take comfort in knowing our highly skilled physicians and staff can help you and your family heal. Our Emergency Department is staffed 24 hours a day/7 days a week. We are licensed as a basic emergency department that provides care for patients with life-threatening illnesses and injuries.

When to Come to the Emergency Room

If you feel that you or a loved one is experiencing an acute life-threatening emergency, please immediately call 9-1-1.

Emergency Department Approved for Pediatrics (EDAP)

Treating an emergency for an infant, toddler, or adolescent requires a unique set of skills. An EDAP designation is awarded to hospitals that have demonstrated their capability in handling these situations. Valley Presbyterian is a designated EDAP by the Los Angeles County Emergency Medical Services Agency. In addition, Valley Presbyterian Hospital is also designated as a Pediatric Medical Center (PMC) by the Los Angeles County Emergency Services Agency for critically ill pediatric patients that require admission to an intensive care unit.

Other specialty designations at Valley Presbyterian Hospital include being a STEMI Receiving Center and Primary Stroke Center.
