Taking Care of Your Emergencies

Our Emergency Department is open 24 hours a day / 7 days a week. When a health emergency happens, you can take comfort in knowing board-certified physicians and licensed nurses are here for you and your family. We care for patients with life-threatening illnesses and injuries of all ages. We also treat non-life-threatening cases such as earaches or allergic reactions. Your case will be given priority based on its severity.

Valley Presbyterian Hospital has special designations as a Certified Primary Stroke Center for treating strokes, a ST Elevation Myocardial Infarction (STEMI) Receiving Center for heart patients, and an Emergency Department Approved for Pediatrics (EDAP) when caring for children.

The healthcare team coordinates services following an ER admission, including on-call specialists, an on-site laboratory, diagnostic radiology and imaging, intensive care units for adults and pediatrics, a medical/surgical telemetry unit to manage acute care needs, and a hospitalist/laborist program that provides patients and their families with expert guidance.
