Gabriella Sherman, MD
Senior Vice President & Chief Medical Officer
Gabriella Sherman was appointed Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer in May 2026. Dr. Sherman brings more than 10 years of senior leadership experience in quality, clinical operations, and medical staff services.
Prior to joining Valley Presbyterian Hospital, Dr. Sherman served as Chief Medical Officer for Los Robles Health System, where she helped lead clinical and operational care delivery transformation. She also held several executive leadership roles in Clinical Operations, Quality, and Performance Improvement at Huntington Hospital. Earlier in her career, she practiced as a hospitalist, giving her a strong foundation in patient care and physician partnership.
As Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Sherman oversees the Medical Staff Office, Quality and Performance Improvement, and Case Management departments, providing strategic leadership to advance clinical excellence and organizational performance.
Dr. Sherman holds a master’s degree in business administration from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, her Doctor of Medicine from the Medical College of Virginia, as well as a bachelor of science in biology and a bachelor of arts in Spanish from Virginia Commonwealth University.
