Liza Martinez
Interim Vice President, Quality
Liza Martinez was appointed Interim Vice President, Quality at Valley Presbyterian Hospital in August 2025. She brings over two decades of progressive nursing leadership and clinical expertise to the organization. Prior to this role, she served as Chief Nursing Officer and Risk Manager at Chino Valley Medical Center, where she led transformative initiatives in patient care, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.
In her role as Interim Vice President, Quality, Ms. Martinez focuses on advancing clinical excellence, improving patient outcomes, and fostering a culture of safety and accountability across the hospital by implementing the systematic review of policies, processes and practices designed to ensure and continuously improve the quality and safety of patient care. Her leadership has been instrumental in the recent success of the DNV Primary Stroke Center recertification and annual DNV hospital surveys.
Ms. Martinez holds a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Health Administration from Grantham University, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from University of Phoenix, and an Associate Degree in Nursing from Santa Ana College. She is also a Certified Legal Nurse Consultant through California State University, Long Beach. Her clinical background is comprised of critical care areas including ICU, Burn ICU, ED, Neuro DOU, and Cardiac Cath Lab, with a dedicated foundation in patient safety, documentation improvement, and regulatory compliance.
