Breastfeeding Support and our Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative
We believe breastfeeding is the healthiest way for a mother to feed her
baby, and we recognize the important health benefits known to exist for
both the mother and her child. In 2015, Valley Presbyterian Hospital received
the prestigious designation as a "Baby Friendly Hospital" through
Baby-Friendly USA (BFUSA), sponsored by the World Health Organization
(WHO) and UNICEF. The Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative promotes, protects,
and supports breastfeeding through The Ten Steps to Successful Breastfeeding
Our highly specialized lactation consultants offer free breastfeeding education
