  • Compensation

    We regularly review our compensation program to make sure it is fair and competitive within the Los Angeles area and the health care industry.

  • Retirement: 403(b) Tax Deferred Annuity Plan

    Our 403(b) plan is designed to complement benefits provided by Social Security and personal savings to bolster your financial security during retirement. You are eligible for plan participation immediately when you are hired.

  • Critical Illness & Accident / Short & Long Term Disability

    Critical Illness & Accident supplemental plans are available to help replace lost wages if you become ill or are injured in an accident. These are voluntary, paid by you from payroll deductions. If you become disabled and cannot continue working, voluntary supplemental Short-Term & Long-Term Disability plans replace a portion of your income.

  • Retirement: 401(a) Defined Benefit Plan

    Valley Presbyterian Hospital provides a generous retirement plan for eligible employees based on years of service. Unlike many other retirement plans, the hospital does not require you to contribute to take advantage of this excellent benefit. This plan is entirely funded by VPH. Date of participation is the first day of the month coinciding with or immediately following your date of hire after completing one year of service.

  • Medical Benefits (Medical, Vision, Dental)

    We offer a choice of Medical plans so you can choose the one that works best for your budget and care preference. With our EPO plan, copayments, deductibles and coinsurance for covered services provided by Valley Presbyterian Hospital are waived. We also offer several Dental and Vision plans that provide a wide range of services.

  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

    Valley Presbyterian Hospital offers employees with professional, confidential services to help employees and their family improve the quality of life. EAP provides a variety of services including five sessions at no cost to the employee.

    This service provides employees with a constructive way to deal with personal problems that may be affecting their work and ways to deal with problems before they interfere with job performance.

  • Life / AD&D Insurance

    In case of a life-changing event, you are covered by our AD&D insurance equal to one time your base salary, up to $50,000. You also have the option to purchase additional coverage for yourself and your dependents.

  • Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)


    You can put aside money for eligible health care and dependent care expenses by enrolling in an FSA. Deductions are automatically taken from your paycheck and FSA deposits are not subject to taxes, which lowers your taxable income.

  • Tuition Reimbursement

    100% of approved courses up to $3,000 a year for full-time employees and $1,500 a year for part-time I employees.

  • Specialty Certification Reimbursement

    Full Time employees are eligible to receive $500 annually and part time I employees are eligible to receive $250 annually for qualified specialty certification, including specialty certification renewals.

  • Ride Share Program

    Incentives to carpool or take public transportation to work.

  • Referral Bonus Program

    Earn rewards by referring qualified candidates for eligible hard-to-fill positions.

  • Employee Discounts
