We believe that the best way to get better is through evidence-based practice. An important part of our quality and safety improvement journey came with the successful formation of a professional practice councilor structure. This multi-council structure focuses on our shared desire to elevate outcomes for our patients by addressing concerns and generating new ideas, ensuring all employees have a voice in controlling their work environment.
I am proud to be a part of the VPH nursing team. Our nurses are vital - integral to saving lives, restoring health, and preventing the spread of illness. We practice with a collaborative spirit in partnership with interprofessional team members. Our people feel like they are part of a family with a culture that respects all voices equally. And we meet the diverse healthcare needs of the San Fernando Valley community inside the hospital and enthusiastically contribute to outreach programs that extend our care beyond our walls.
