Join the Pursuit of Better Quality and Safety

Message from the Interim Chief Nursing Officer

Our mission to improve the health of the San Fernando Valley means everyone in our organization must be on an enduring pursuit of higher quality and safety. As leaders in the care of patients and their families, nurses at Valley Presbyterian Hospital (VPH) feel this responsibility deeply, seeing every day how improvements lead to better lives and outcomes for our patients. When you are looking for a hospital to pursue your career goals in nursing, consider the unique combination of opportunities that VPH offers.

We believe that the best way to get better is through evidence-based practice. An important part of our quality and safety improvement journey came with the successful formation of a professional practice councilor structure. This multi-council structure focuses on our shared desire to elevate outcomes for our patients by addressing concerns and generating new ideas, ensuring all employees have a voice in controlling their work environment.

I am proud to be a part of the VPH nursing team. Our nurses are vital - integral to saving lives, restoring health, and preventing the spread of illness. We practice with a collaborative spirit in partnership with interprofessional team members. Our people feel like they are part of a family with a culture that respects all voices equally. And we meet the diverse healthcare needs of the San Fernando Valley community inside the hospital and enthusiastically contribute to outreach programs that extend our care beyond our walls. Together, we improve the overall health of those we serve, every day!
