Fritz B. Burns Valley Cardiac Cath Lab

Our Cath lab features advanced equipment for diagnosis and treatment of cardiac and vascular diseases for adults (18 years and older). A cardiac catheter is a long, thin tube that is inserted into an artery or vein leading to the heart. Once in place, the tube enables expert medical staff to diagnose the extent of disease affecting the heart's muscles, walls, valves and arteries, and perform procedures to treat blockages in the heart or elsewhere in the circulatory system. Images taken via the catheter are available on our digital Picture Archiving and Communication System, which provides precise, real-time images of the heart and arteries.

Procedures Conducted in Our Cath Lab:

  • Coronary angioplasty or percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI)
  • Intravascular annotation and ultrasound
  • Left and right sided pressure studies
  • Peripheral angiography and interventions
  • Permanent pacemaker and defibrillator implantations
  • Rotablation of heavily calcified vessels
