Clinical Nurse Manager, Children's Services

Working at Valley Presbyterian Hospital (VPH) for more than 22 years, Gina Rai has had the opportunity to grow professionally in the organization. After spending 15 years working at the bedside in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), she pursued an education in lactation. She became an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and was a key member in achieving Baby Friendly Designation for VPH. She continued her quest for education, became certified in her specialty and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from National University in 2015. During the same time she received a promotion to Clinical Nurse Manager of the NICU. In April of 2016, she enrolled in a graduate program with Grand Canyon University and was promoted to Clinical Nurse Manager of Children Services overseeing the NICU, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), and Pediatrics department. Gina graduated in February of 2018, obtaining a Master of Science in Nursing degree with an emphasis in Leadership in Healthcare Systems. Gina's most significant professional accomplishment was obtaining her MSN degree while working full-time in a new position as Children Services Manager.
