We Care About Your Nutrition
An important part of your recovery is having proper nutrition for your
health needs. The Food & Nutrition Services department provides meals
prepared in accordance with your doctor's orders. Patients are encouraged
to rely on hospital services for their food and beverages.
Please advise your nurse of any cultural or religious food preferences.
In the event that you or your family bring food into the hospital, please
contact your nurse to ensure that it meets your dietary restrictions and
can be included in the record of your food and liquid intake.
There is a Registered Dietitian assigned to each unit to take care of your
nutritional needs and to provide nutrition education when necessary.
For the convenience and comfort of our patients, Valley Presbyterian Hospital
offers kosher and gluten free menu options. Patients also may request
food services in addition to scheduled meals, which include three meals
and three snacks daily.
