VAN NUYS, Calif. — Valley Presbyterian Hospital is pleased to announce the opening of the
Hepatobiliary and Pancreas Center, a highly specialized center for the
treatment of patients with liver, bile duct and pancreas disorders.
"The Hepatobiliary and Pancreas Center provides excellent, state-of-the-art
and compassionate surgical care to patients throughout Southern California,"
said Gayathri S. Jith, Senior Vice President of Strategy & Operations.
"As the only hospital serving the San Fernando Valley with such a
program, we offer our community access to comprehensive and integrated
specialty care that's close to home."
The Hepatobiliary and Pancreas Center offers treatments to address a wide
range of diseases, as well as lesions, cysts, strictures and trauma. The
program recently moved into a new location at 6850 Vanowen Blvd., Suite
210, in Van Nuys.
Dr. Kambiz Kosari, a board-certified general surgeon, launched the program
in late 2012. Since then, he has developed a collaborative network of
dedicated partner physicians to care for patients through a multidisciplinary
approach. The care team consists of general surgeons, gastroenterologists,
hepatologists, diagnostic and interventional radiologists, radiation oncologists,
oncologists, pathologists, palliative care specialists, nurses and coordinators.
"At the Hepatobiliary and Pancreas Center, our expert team of physicians
and staff collaborate with patients and their families to develop care
plans that are comprehensive and uniquely tailored to serve their health
care needs," said Dr. Kosari.
