Mary Claire Horkay
Director, Infection Prevention & Control Department
Mary Claire Horkay was born and raised in one of the Philippine islands where the water is sparkling blue on one side and green rice fields on the other. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Xavier University - Ateneo de Cagayan College of Nursing. She then attained her board certification in Infection Control. Two of her most significant accomplishments were establishing the Infection Prevention and Occupational Health Programs for a health system of four hospitals and mentoring one of the upcoming Infection Preventionists of the University of California San Diego (UCSD).
